Single Account

The Valentine Constitution provides Citizens with one account for all their affairs and paperwork, deeds, titles, serial numbers, purchase dates, warranties, budgets, sales records, banking, lending, borrowing, credit, stocks, insurance, financial records, medical records, voting and other government affairs. Accessible only by permission of the Citizen or by government warrant, each Citizen’s information will be controlled by that Citizen. Access will default at NO ACCESS until the Citizen allows access, and then only to the information selected. The Citizen may set portions of their account to trigger upon the occurrence of certain events, like illness, whereby information will be made available  to an emergency room to avail the doctors and nurses of the Citizen’s blood type, medications and the like, at a time when the Citizen may be physically unable to communicate that information.

The government will help Citizens with applications, forms and compliance, and if desired alert Citizens as things are due, and help Citizens meet their deadlines. All Citizens will be required to have wills, medical directives, medical and financial powers of attorney, and clearly titled property, all of which the government will help the Citizen to properly file in a simple check-the-box manner. The government will not babysit a lame flaky Citizen who leaves their affairs a mess for others to sort out. Citizens who do nothing will simply default to the highest rated or most popular version of whatever they do not fill out. But all records will make their way into that Citizen’s single account securitized with a state of the art algorithm accessible only by the Citizen or by court order.

A secretive deceased Citizen may have a Refusal To Release, in which case 99% of their records will never be revealed to anyone. Another Citizen may have a Do Not Resuscitate order preventing paramedics and doctors from reviving them. Some may have a will and wish to have inheritance transferred or deeds re-recorded. Probate will be mostly moot since each Citizen will easily be able to set up trusts for their children and grandchildren and inheritance will be subject only to the 5% single tax.

With all records in one secure place, Citizens and government both save time and become more efficient. All paperwork will be assigned to the Federal government tasked with helping the Citizen-licensee to better understand and comply with the law rather than focusing on penalizing the Citizen’s failure. Simple, direct and user friendly, the government will streamline services to eliminate confusion and frustration. The government will register an artist’s song, movie, video, book, painting, etc. with the copyright office, provide the MPAA rating etc, place their content in commerce where it will be easily found and searchable by filters, and ensure royalties go the artist’s single bank account for plays received, all at no charge to the artists other than the 5% transaction tax. Likewise patent, trademark and other assistance encouraging creativity, innovation, economic growth, job creation and international competitiveness.

The single account will contain each Citizen’s single bank account and all the tools bankers use today plus assistance and guidance tools. Loan inquiries will receive an immediate response and incur no “inquiry” penalty. Credit scores will be available for free and credit reporting agencies will be abolished. Apps will allow Citizens to do their own financial and other kinds of planning using click-to-analyze and click-to-learn programs to better understand their options, or show the ratings of available financial planners. There will be no liability for passive investors, and all amounts of savings will be “FDIC” insured. The single account saves us all the costs now passed on to customers for obsolete physical bank branches: land, buildings, rent, payroll, utilities, equipment, supplies and parking. Cash and ATMs will also be abolished saving us those fees and hassles while rendering criminals, racketeers and illegal aliens inoperative. PayPal and portal type fees now paid for online transactions will not exist since the internet will be one big buy/sell portal for all Citizens with no fees other than the 5% transaction tax.

Citizens will vote online in their single account where candidates and referendums will receive equal exposure with discussions, charts etc available. Online voting guards against fraud, makes it easier to verify vote tallies and to ensure that each Citizen votes only once. The convenience will likely increase voter turnout and therefore political participation. The candidate most able to drive folks to the polls will no longer beat a more popular candidate. Our new Courts will be accessible through the single account online along with free legal advice and free nonbinding Review Court decisions on any matter. Citizens will learn what the law is and how it applies to them. Numerous apps will allow Citizens to get things done quickly and efficiently, and to rate government services and contractors.

An government looking to educate and assist its Citizens is superior to one which looks to demand and penalize. Citizens and governments with their affairs in order allow a society to function fluidly. It’s good for our economy, society, families, friends and all those we interact with to have our lives in order and it makes all our lives far easier.
