The Valentine Constitution avoids the stalling and stalemating of our current politicized confirmation process by requiring Presidential and gubernatorial appointments be filled within 4 months maximum with Citizens voting to break deadlocks. Heads of departments are important positions and will not be left leaderless as they are now.
Supreme Court Justices and Departmental Heads will be elected by popular vote within 30 days of a vacancy. These jobs are too important to be left vacant even for a little while since their judgements have weighty consequences and four to four stalemates are common and can only be broken by the ninth Justice.
